Originally released in September of 2006 (why an artist would ever release an album with summer in the title in the fall is beyond me) Smash Mouth has crafted a feel good album that will immediately transport the listener to sunny days and hot temps topped off with a late afternoon jaunt to the local surf bar.
I am far from a Smash Mouth advocate, but I must say I was immediately drawn into the albumâs vibe. Like em, or not, Smash Mouth has become unapologetically well known for constructing Top 40 hits. Chances are you or someone you know has given a memorably tipsy karaoke performance of “All Star” at some point in time.
“Summer Girl” is fun, upbeat, drink swillin’ music meant to celebrate whatever it is that needs celebratin!.
